(CNN) - Get ready to fall in love with Stubby-- a googly-eyed squid who looks more like a Muppet than a sea creature.
Stubby's debut was captured by researchers who were live streaming an expedition of the ocean floor off California's coast.
The scientists encountered a few other weird specimens while down there, but Stubby definitely stole the show.
Stubby is a Rossia Pacifica, which resembles both an octopus and a squid.
