Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue in Royal Palm Beach says a litter of kittens were rescued by Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority workers who found them discarded in the trash.
On Monday morning, the SWA said workers found the 4- to 5-week-old kittens in a garbage bag.

The SWA called Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue who took care of the four orphaned kitties.
Workers with SWA and the animal rescue believe the kittens have had human contact because they are friendly and social. So, it's unclear why someone tossed them into the garbage this week.
The animals were hungry when they arrived and had parasites, so veterinarians have been busy this week nursing them back to health.
JBAR said the kittens should make a full recovery and be available for adoption in about a month.
