An officer with the Lantana Police Department appeared in court Friday morning to face charges of distributing obscene material and using a two-way device to facilitate a felony.

Chief Sean Scheller said Officer Christopher Decker is a patrol officer who is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the incident began after a domestic dispute between Decker and a woman.

The woman alleges that as the result of an argument, Decker sent private information from an adult website to her children who are both under 16 years of age.

Decker was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Thursday evening. His attorney, Jo Ann Barone, said her client should be presumed innocent.

Decker’s bail was set at $4,000.
