Hundreds of people lined the streets of Ocean Avenue outside the Eau Palm Beach hotel waiting for the moment the President of China arrived in Manalapan.
During his trip from the airport, three people tried to run in front of the motorcade and were arrested for obstruction, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Security was extremely tight at the resort; dozens of sheriff's deputies lined the streets. Some appeared to be in riot gear.
Thursday morning a high metal fence was installed along A1A.
There were several groups who showed up to protest. Others were there to show their support And while things remained peaceful at least one person taken away by deputies.

By early evening most supporters, protesters, and bystanders had left the area.
Drivers can expect traffic delays along A-1-A as the Chinese president travels by motorcade to a dinner and talks with President Trump.
