Cellphone video recorded Thursday captured the frightening moments when a woman rammed her sport-utility vehicle into a T-Mobile store in Palm Springs.

The incident occurred at a T-Mobile located at 3321 South Congress Ave.

The driver of the Nissan SUV was Shinobia Montoria Wright, 25, of Wellington, according to Palm Springs police.

Once inside the store Wright is accused of smashing glass display cases, throwing items around and hitting a store employee, a police report states.

Another employee suffered a knee injury when the SUV hit a case and it fell on him.

Wright told police she was having 'a bad day,' according to a probable cause affidavit.

An assistant store manager told police the day before Wright had asked to exchange her cracked iPhone and said she was going to "bug out" if she didn't get the phone because it was her birthday.

Wright needed to be hospitalized and will need surgery to remove glass imbedded into her forearms.

During an interview police said she told them that she took her iPhone to be repaired and although she has cellphone insurance, was required to pay out of pocket for a replacement.

She said that she smashed the glass display cases with a squeegee she had in her SUV, the report said.

Damage to the store is estimated at $30,000.

According to a relative, Wright's mental status has changed within the year.

Wright, who told police she was sorry, faces charges of aggravated battery, burglary, simple battery, criminal mischief and reckless driving.
