PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.-- An administrative court judge has put Eagle Arts Academy's termination proceedings on permanent hold until the Palm Beach County School Board pays the charter its funds for July and every month while the case is on hold.
The school board filed a complaint with the 15th Circuit Court asking a judge to declare the school board's right to withhold a $255 thousand payment for July to Eagle Arts Academy until termination proceedings are concluded.
Now that the DOAH court has put the termination proceedings on hold; it is unclear if the charter will have funds to operate and open for the 2018-2019 school year.
A 15th Circuit Court judge will have to decide if the school board has to pay Eagle Arts Academy.
