Accidental gun discharge injures store customer

A man was injured when he accidentally discharged a gun at a store in West Palm Beach Thursday afternoon.

Police say a young man was ‘fidgeting with something in his pocket’ when the gun fired. A bullet struck a tile and a fragment from the tile hit a customer, according to police. The injury to the customer was not serious.

The incident happened at a store at 2121 N Tamarind Avenue.

The person with the gun ran off.

Police believe the shooting was accidental.
