The Florida Department of Health and Mosquito Control in Palm Beach County are investigating a travel-related case of dengue fever.
Officials say the case was reported on the last week of August and was contracted abroad.
A total of 40 travel-related cases have been reported in the state in 2016.
According to the health department, six travel-related cases were reported in 2015 and 10 in 2014.
