UPDATE: Traffic is no longer backed up where the semi caught fire.
EARLIER:
Northbound traffic encountered delays on I-95 late Monday morning when the cab of a tractor trailer caught fire.
West Palm Beach Fire Rescue foamed down the front of the semi, which appeared to have suffered extensive damage.
Delays stretched back for miles.
The truck was approaching the southern end of Riviera Beach at the time of the incident.
It’s unclear if the truck driver was injured.
