Winter weather gripping a large part of the nation is causing back ups for thousands of travelers in airports across the country.

Delays and cancelations out of airports in cities like Dallas, Chicago, New York City and Newark are causing travelers to reschedule their flights and travel plans.
On Monday, 4,800 flights were delayed and 2,800 were canceled nationwide. Thousands of others were delayed and canceled on Sunday as well.
At Palm Beach International Airport, flights began showing delays and cancelations at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.
With winter weather warnings are still in effect for parts of the Northeast and Midwest. Travelers are urged to keep a close eye on flight statuses.
