A 68-year-old naked man surrendered to deputies Saturday after investigators said he tried to shoot a friend.

According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, William Pharmer shot at the victim inside a house on Southeast Harrison Street in Stuart.

Investigators said the bullet missed the victim and went through the ceiling of the home.

Deputies said when they arrived, Pharmer refused to come out of the house.

He eventually surrendered to the sheriff’s office but “exited the house without a stitch of clothing.”

Pharmer was taken to the Martin County Jail. No one was injured in the incident.
