Missing woman's mom asks for search to continue

The mother of a Martin County woman missing for almost two weeks spoke out Tuesday morning.

Rebecca Todd thanked the community, Deemi Search and Rescue and the Martin County Sheriff's Office for their support in trying to find Tricia Todd.

Tricia was last seen April 27 and was reported missing after she didn't show up to pick up her daughter that morning.

Rebecca Todd said it's been a difficult time for her family and she wants the public to keep Tricia in their thoughts and prayers.

“I’m asking everyone to continue to search. Someone out there knows something or has seen something and the more you spread her picture and information around the more likely it’s going to get in the right hands, the right person that knows something,”  Rebecca said.

Deputies said there is still no evidence that a crime took place or that Tricia Todd was abducted or left the area willingly. However, the lead detective on the case says they are not giving up on this investigation.

“I truly believe at some point we will get a break that we need," said Detective Michael Dougherty. "I believe we will get the lead that we need or uncover something that allows us to go further into it.”

An extensive grid search on Monday did not reveal any clues.
