The family of Tricia Todd, a Hobe Sound woman missing since last week, held a news conference Wednesday morning.

Wesley Holden, a pastor and family friend, spoke to the media and said Todd's disappearance has been heartbreaking, but their trust in God and prayers from around the world are sustaining them during this difficult time.

Holden thanked the Martin County Sheriff's Office and volunteers for their efforts and tireless dedication to locate Todd.

The missing woman's daughter is safe and being well taken care of, said Holden.

Todd was reported missing April 27 after she didn’t show up to pick up her child that morning.

The last known photo of Todd was at a Publix on Tuesday night April 26, according to the sheriff's office.
