The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning they are investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy who attended South Fork High School.
Public Information Officer Christine Weiss said in a written statement that the teen was found by his mother unresponsive and not breathing at their Stuart home early Thursday morning.
Detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy to complete their investigation.
Weiss said no further details about the case will be available until after the medical examiner completes the autopsy.
The name of the student has not been released.
The principal sent the following call to parents:
