PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said a Georgia man was found dead Thursday morning on the Interstate 95 southbound exit ramp at Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens.
The FHP said Fire Rescue crews responded to a parked 2009 KW truck and trailer at that location around 6:50 a.m.
When crews arrived, the driver, Michael Scott Mims, 48, of Waycross, Georgia, was unresponsive.
FHP said it appeared Mims had a medical event and was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no evidence of trauma. The cause of death remains under investigation.
