BOCA RATON, Fla. -- A hit-and-run crash on I-95 Saturday night killed a motorcyclist.
Florida Highway Patrol says 36-year-old Kevin Frazier Scheinberg was riding a 2002 Honda Shadow VT1100C northbound on I-95 south of Yamato Road at 9:34 p.m. when a vehicle changed lanes and struck the left side of his motorcycle.
The impact caused Scheinberg to lose control and he was ejected off the motorcycle and onto the highway.
He was transported to Delray Medical Center by Boca Raton Fire Rescue and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
FHP says the vehicle that struck Scheinberg left the scene.
A possible description of the vehicle is a dark colored vehicle, perhaps a Chrysler 200 that may have minor damage to the right side.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
