A tractor-trailer crash Wednesday morning on Congress Avenue in Boca Raton closed the entrance ramps to Interstate 95 in both directions for multiple hours.

The entrance ramps were back open by 9:15 a.m.

FHP said the semi rear-ended a sedan as it was exiting southbound I-95 at Congress Avenue. The crash sent the sedan across a median.

The semi hit the wall near the I-95 entrance ramp, which kept it from falling over the edge. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The semi driver, whose name has not been released, was cited for careless driving along with logbook and commercial driver's license violations.

Exit ramps are back open after earlier closures.

A similar wreck involving a semi occurred at the same location on Aug. 4, 2016.
