ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. -- Following a 2-hour search, St. Lucie County Sheriff's Deputies apprehended Juan Sanchez on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court and possession of cocaine.
He now faces additional charges of resisting arrest and providing false information to law enforcement.
Sanchez fled on foot when deputies attempted to make contact with him and was tracked by air and marine units.
K-9 Thor and his handler, Deputy DeBlieck, located Sanchez in the mangroves in the area of Riverside Marina off Old Dixie Highway, north of A1A and south of Naco Road.
Sanchez was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail with no bond.
