The first Wawa convenience store opens Thursday in St. Lucie County.
The store is located on the southwest corner of Tradition Parkway Drive and Village Parkway in Port St. Lucie.
Customers can get free coffee and other specials through April 9.
Grand opening events include a hoagie-building competition between the Port St. Lucie Police Department and the St. Lucie County Fire Fighters Benevolent Association.
Doors open at 8 a.m with grand opening festivities at 10 a.m.
Three Wawa stores opened in Palm Beach County last week, two in Palm Springs and one in Riviera Beach. A West Palm Beach location is scheduled to open this spring at the corner of Australian Avenue and Belvedere Road.
Other Wawas will open this summer in Vero Beach and Lake Worth.
