Leslie Greffe is the social director at Road Runner RV Park. But mother nature threw a party she would rather not have attended.

“Called him (her husband) at work and said “I think I’m going to be Dorothy and Toto," Greffe said Tuesday night.

Her neighbor’s trailer, all 13,000 pounds of it, ended up on its side just feet from Greffe’s home.

"I heard the crash of that one falling down but I didn’t know what it was, just that the whole trailer was shaking back and forth and I wasn’t happy," said Greffe who sat in her bathroom with her dog waiting for the storm to pass.

It was one of at least four homes that were damaged to some extent.

Over at the Treasure Coast International Airport down St. Lucie Boulevard, an airplane flipped over.

Michael Croteau said a mechanic was working on it when the weather started to turn.

“He was trying to get it to a hangar where it would be out of the weather and the wind just caught the airplane and flipped it over," said Croteau.

Croteau says the mechanic has a few bumps and bruises but is okay.  It took two tow trucks to turn the plane right side up and move it because it was blocking the taxiway.

“Just glad that nobody was seriously hurt.  They make a lot of airplanes… they don’t make a lot of people," said Croteau, who added his plane is likely a total loss.
