A West Palm Beach man was among two people killed after a car crashed into a retention pond along Interstate 95 in Broward County on Thanksgiving Day.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 2006 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on I-95 at 12:27 p.m. Thursday when the driver lost control and crashed into the pond near Hillsboro Boulevard.
Both occupants were transported to Broward Health North where they were pronounced dead.
The FHP report said both victims will be listed as passengers until it can be determined who was driving.
One of the victims was identified as 46-year-old William Travieso of West Palm Beach. FHP has not released the name of the other person killed, only that he was a 39-year-old man from Miami.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
