1. Treasure Coast spared from major impacts of Isaias
The Treasure Coast has been spared from any major impacts caused by Tropical Storm Isaias over the weekend as it weakened over the Bahamas.
This morning Tropical Storm Isaias is near Category 1 Hurricane strength as it moves away from the Space Coast and heads north toward the Carolinas.
It's possible that it could make landfall this evening as a Hurricane in South Carolina.
2. NASA astronauts return home in first splashdown landing in 45 years
SpaceX has brought two NASA astronauts home from a historic mission.
Robert and Behnken and Douglas Hurley — the first astronauts to travel into orbit aboard a commercially developed spacecraft — returned home in a splashdown mission Sunday, the first such mission in America in 45 years.
They've been onboard the International Space Station for two months after launching in the SpaceX Crew Dragon from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
3. Republican Party's renomination of Trump to be held in private
The vote to renominate President Donald Trump is set to be conducted in private later this month, without members of the news media present.
A spokeswoman for the Republican National Convention cites the coronavirus for restricting press coverage from the Aug. 24 vote in Charlotte, North Carolina.
If the GOP decision stands, it will mark the first party nominating convention in modern history to be closed to reporters.
4. Wild video: Man jumped onto hood of semi truck, beat on windshield
A man is under evaluation at Wellington Regional Hospital after a bizarre altercation on the Florida Turnpike.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says the unidentified man was driving with a passenger when the driver began acting strangely and stopped, exited the vehicle and began walking on the highway.
The man then jumped onto the hood of a semi tractor-trailer on the northbound side and began striking the windshield with his hands.

5. Is TikTok saved? Microsoft is looking to buy
Microsoft said Sunday that it is "prepared to continue discussions to explore a purchase of TikTok in the United States."
The announcement comes days after President Donald Trump said he was planning on banning the app, which is owned by Chinese company ByteDance.
Trump administration officials are concerned about the app's terms of service, citing the privacy concerns of U.S. citizens with the Chinese government.
