1. A Gruesome Discovery: Body of missing woman found in rape suspect's trunk days after arrest
A suspected serial rapist was arrested last week after violent attacks on women dating back to 2016.
The property owner of the apartment where Kano Brown was arrested called family members and asked them to remove his car, which was parked at the apartment in Fort Pierce.
A member of Brown’s family moved the car to their house, but family members began to notice an odor coming from the vehicle.
They began searching Brown's car, opened the trunk and found a decomposing woman's body later identified as Kathleen Black.
2. A Whole New World: Disney World and SeaWorld outline new safety measures and give projected opening dates
Both parks will require guests to wear masks and get temperature checks at the gates. They will both also have new cleaning stations and social distancing measures.
At Disney World, there will be no parades, fireworks or any activity that creates crowds for the foreseeable future.
Disney hopes to open the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks on July 11, followed by Hollywood Studios and Epcot on July 15.
SeaWorld hopes to open much earlier in June.
SeaWorld Orlando and Walt Disney World's plans were approved by Orange County and will now head to the desk of Gov. Ron DeSantis.
3. Bye, Bye, Bertha! Tropical Storm Bertha formed and quickly dissipated
Tropical Storm Bertha made landfall on South Carolina’s coast shortly after it formed, becoming the second named storm before the official start of this year’s Atlantic hurricane season.
There's now a chance of Cristobal forming, there's no threat to land, but it would indicate a busy hurricane season to go through three names before June 1.
The American Model continues to develop a storm in the Gulf of Mexico in about two weeks and moves it into Louisiana.
4. Tampa terror plot busted by FBI: Man charged with trying to help ISIS
A Florida man is charged with providing material support to the Islamic State extremist group, including attempting to buy multiple weapons and scouting potential targets for an attack in the Tampa Bay area.
Court-ordered searches Muhammed Momtaz of Al-Azhari’s iPhone also revealed numerous videos and statements attributed to the Islamic State group. Another video, the FBI says, shows Al-Azhari in a facemask and pointing a gun at presumably someone on the floor.
An FBI affidavit says that Al-Azhari was recorded as expressing admiration for Omar Mateen, the deceased shooter at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub in 2016.
5. End of An Era: These stores won't reopen after the pandemic
There will some beloved stores missing from the mall as people head back out to shop. Pier 1 will be closing all stores and Victoria's Secret, JC Penney, Game Stop and more will be closing hundreds of stores.
The malls were already hurting due to the competition of online shopping, but with months of business gone, many are struggling to stay afloat.

In the first engagement of the French and Indian War, a Virginia militia under 22-year-old Lieutenant Colonel George Washington defeats a French reconnaissance party in southwestern Pennsylvania. In a surprise attack, the Virginians killed 10 French soldiers from Fort Duquesne, including the French commander, Coulon de Jumonville, and took 21 prisoners. Only one of Washington’s men was killed.
