Standing prime rib recipe

Standing Rib Roast
(prime rib)
6-7 lb  3 or 4 bone Standing Rib Roast
¼ cup  Browning Seasoning
2 ea  Medium Size Carrots
2 ea  Ribs of Celery
1 ea  Large Spanish Onion
¼ cup  Kosher Salt
¼ cup  Coarse Ground Pepper
1/8 cup Granulated Garlic
1 cup  Beef Stock

1. Quarter carrots, celery and onion and place in the bottom of a large roasting pan
2. Season roast with salt, pepper, garlic and browning seasoning
3. Set roast fat side up, on top of the vegetables
4. Roast in the oven preheated to 300 degrees for 1 ½ hours ( or about 15 minutes per pound) unitl internal temp reaches 120 degrees.
5. Turn the oven off, prop open the door and let rest at least one hour
6. Strain the liquid from the bottom of the roasting pan and mix with the beef stock on low heat, serve on the side for dipping
