WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — WPTV viewers helped to raise more than $36,000 for the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund during a telethon on Dec. 9.
The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund is a nonprofit organization with a mission to save lives and keep families together.
It offers assistance to disabled veterans throughout Florida.
The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund provides housing assistance, utilities assistance and financial help with emergency car repairs and car payments.
The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund is still accepting donations. An anonymous donor will match up to $50,000 in donations until Christmas.
The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund is also holding a silent auction. Donors can place bids on everything from a bronze eagle statue to Lilly Pulitzer gift baskets, fishing gear and more.
