WPTV IS TEAMING UP WITH ANIMAL SHELTERS THROUGHOUT SOUTH FLORIDA TO HELP FIND FOREVER HOMES FOR PETS IN NEED. — WPTV is teaming up with animal shelters throughout South Florida to help find forever homes for pets in need.
Clear The Shelters Adoption Campaign is in full swing but due to the pandemic the annual event has gone virtual.
Instead coming in to the shelter, you can adopt from the comfort of your home.
The shelter's adoptable cats and dogs are all posted online. After making a selection, you can arrange to come and pick up your furry relative.
Adoption fees start at $50 for cats.
Kittens-$75
Dogs-$150
puppies-$300
"Now is a great time to adopt and foster," Director of Development Curry Krasulak said. "Many people are working from home, students are also virtual learning which makes it easier for pets to transition to their new home."
The fee covers, spay and neuter surgery, all of their first shots, a wellness check and they’re microchip. "We also pay for the registration of that microchip and for the month of August for Clear The Shelter they are also going to get a great goodie bag with everything from all the sponsors of food and toys," Krasulak said.
