LAS VEGAS — Zak Bagans has added another item once owned by a serial killer to his collection in Las Vegas.
The star of “Ghost Adventures” paid $50,000 for a pair of glasses believed to have been worn by the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy.
Interest in Bundy, who killed and raped numerous young women during the 1970s, has increased again lately thanks to a new controversial movie starring Zac Efron and a Netflix documentary featuring hours of conversations with Bundy before his execution 30 years ago.
Bagans purchased the glasses, which Bundy allegedly wore when he kidnapped 12-year-old Kimberly Leach in Florida, from a crime collectibles site. He also bought the brown evidence bag and exhibit tag that the glasses were stored in after they were found in a Volkswagen Beetle stolen by Bundy.
Other items belonging to or associated with serial killers in Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum include a portrait of Charles Manson with Manson’s ashes in the eyes, a Camaro owned by cult leader David Koresh, the VW van owned by Dr. Jack Kevorkian and paintings by John Wayne Gacy.
Bagans has not said when the glasses will go in display in Las Vegas.
