Following the success in March of the inaugural Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, organizers have confirmed the second annual event will take place March 2-5, 2017.

Sunshine Grove, with its 800 acres of grassy flat lands, sandy beach and islands of tropical jungle, again will be the site of the four-day music and camping festival.

"We will be announcing the first wave of artists soon, probably early October," said Cyndi Putnam, the festival's public relations consultant, in an email.

The same team that brought Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex and 85 other performers to Okeechobee last year are heading up the festival again. The team plans to build on the success of the inaugural festival in terms of scope and creativity, while adding new and exciting elements to the music lineup and activity features.

Limited tickets go on sale 11 a.m. Wednesday at www.okeechobeefest.com.

In a news release, chief creative officer and co-founder Paul Peck said, "There were so many once-in-a-lifetime moments at Okeechobee '16. In 2017 we're going to build upon the magic we created last year by adding new, next level surprises. Those special, shared experiences that will never happen again is what Okeechobee is all about."

The Sunshine Grove is located at 12517 N.E. 91st Ave. in Okeechobee.

A 4-day general admission is $229.50 and a four-day VIP experience is priced at $599.
