WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Iancarlos Santiago was expecting a very special delivery last week. It never showed up, but package tracking information said it did.

"He couldn't find it so we checked our doorbell which has a video camera in it," explained Santiago's father Nicholas Natal. "It did show that the ups man did deliver it. It was delivered on the 16th at about 3:10 p.m."

They kept watching the video and saw a stranger on a bike picking up the box.

"At 4:45 p.m. the guy came by on a bicycle and you can see him plainly stealing the package and running away," said Natal.

According to a police report the thief made off with a diamond promise ring. Natal's son ordered it as a Christmas surprise for his girlfriend.

"After all his sacrifice to keep saving up and to give her something and now he has nothing to give her," Natal said. "It's a shame."

Now instead of practicing how he'll pop the question, Natal's son is busy filing police reports and trying to get the ring replaced. Natal's hoping for just one thing this Christmas, "to see that guy caught, you know, punished and the ring back so he can give it to his girlfriend and have a happy ending."
