This year, many summer vacations — even to U.S. locales — are not happening due to the pandemic. While that is obviously a bummer, Lay’s is offering some new snacks that might just offer the best of all worlds: Potato chips flavored like dishes from beloved restaurants around the U.S. that you can enjoy while staying safe at home.

The limited-edition Lay’s Flavor Icons portfolio of chips includes five new options inspired by restaurants in New York City, Nashville, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Albuquerque.

While no potato chip can make up for missing a vacation, you can still give your tastebuds a tour of the country just by heading to your local grocery store!

First up, you can head to New York City for the New York Style Pizza chips inspired by Grimaldi’s famous pizza shop in Brooklyn. These chips are kettle-cooked and seasoned with pizza flavors.

Frito-Lay

Next, travel west for a little while to the City of Brotherly Love to visit Geno’s Steaks in Philadelphia for the Philly Cheesesteak chip.

A cheesesteak at Geno’s Steaks has three kinds of cheese — Cheese Whiz, American and provolone — so you can expect these chips to be pretty cheesy!

Frito-Lay

Inspired by the Nashville eatery Party Fowl, Nashville Hot Chicken potato chips are flavored after the restaurant’s beloved hot chicken.

Party Fowl’s menu says their hot chicken is served on Texas toast with dill pickles and coleslaw, so you might want to pick up some extras to complete the experience if you grab these chips!

Frito-Lay

Next, make your way over to Los Angeles for some Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos inspired by El Torito. While El Torito’s street tacos come with either chicken or pork (carnitas), these wavy chips are inspired by the pork version.

Frito-Lay

Finally, head to Albuquerque for Cocina Azul-inspired Chile Relleno chips. If you’ve never had a chile relleno, they are essentially chiles stuffed with cheese, so it’s safe to say you can expect those spicy, savory flavors from the chips!

While all of these chips are available nationwide now through Sept. 10, the Chile Relleno flavor is only available at Walmart and 7-Eleven.
