Flying used to be a luxury, but now travel shoppers look for just one thing and that’s to save money.

While most airlines are in a race to the bottom line, some carriers are bringing back the perks that used to make flying fun. Jimmy Rhoades and AirfareWatchdog.com’s George Hobica have three ways airlines are making your trip your enjoyable.

1.  Free meals with Delta

Delta is making your flight more enjoyable by offering free meals in economy on select domestic routes. They have started with flights between New York and Los Angeles or San Francisco and expanding to more cities April 24. Options include wraps, cheese plates and dishes from their food partner, Luvo.

2.  Free wi-fi with JetBlue

No need to get that last-minute email in or waste time downloading a movie because JetBlue's free "Fly-Fi" means you can do it from the air.

3.  Free wine with Alaska

Alaska Airlines isn't only welcoming you on board, they'll let your vino travel, too. The carrier has partnered with wineries in Oregon, Washington, and California so you can check a case of wine free. You just have to be an Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Member which is totally free.
