You'd think college students would be too busy to think about others at this time of year: What with final exams and all. Not so!
Dial-a-Carol is a student-run holiday program that started at the University of Illinois in 1960. Students in a dorm called Snyder Hall host the caroling tradition each year.

- Call (217) 332-1882 and request a holiday tune to be sung over the telephone.
- The program runs 24/7 during finals week.
- Last year students sang more than 6,800 carols to callers from all over the world.
