McDonald’s announced via Twitter that it’s creating a new global food currency with five collectible designs that you can redeem for a free Big Mac in 50 different countries. Big Mac fans can collect their coins starting Thursday, Aug. 2.

To snag yourself a MacCoin, visit any one of the 14,000 participating locations across the country on Thursday and purchase a Big Mac. There’s a limited supply of MacCoins, so make sure you hit up a Mickey D’s bright and early Thursday.
Of course, McDonald’s is no stranger to flashy promotions. Earlier this year, everyone’s favorite fast-food chain launched a Twitter contest to gift one lucky fan with a diamond-encrusted, 18-karat gold “Bling Mac” ring — dreamed up by fine jewelry designer Nadine Ghosn — that was worth a whopping $12,500.
