Mega Bash & 4th of July Block Party
This July 4th celebration is and has always been a bit confusing because it's really two events held at the same place; Abacoa Town Center. Here is the gist. Basically, Rodger Dean Stadium controls the fireworks show and they have their own event called "Mega Bash." There is not a guaranteed time the fireworks show will begin because they wait for the baseball game to end (estimated at 9:30 p.m. start).
Helpful Hint: be prepared in case the game goes into extra innings because the fireworks show will start later.
If you buy tickets for the game you get seats and there is a kid's area. If you don't go into the stadium then you can go to Abacoa's "4th of July Block Party" starting at 4:30 p.m. There will be Erasmith an Aerosmith tribute band, a cornhole tournament, and kid's activities. Mega Bash is actually held on two nights, July 3 and July 4.
