5 fun things to do this weekend in South Florida (Aug. 9 - 11)

1) 7th Annual Spiny Lobster Fest - Palm Beach Shores
Family-friendly event will feature a variety of local lobster dishes, live music by Big Vince and the Phat Cats, art, marine apparel, jewelry, street and face painting, kids activities and mroe. Tickets cost $10 which includes one food ticket and kids 12 and younger are free. Saturday, Aug. 10 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Sailfish Marina.

2) PGA National Craft Beer Bash - Palm Beach Gardens
"A libation celebration" of over 150 craft brews and ciders, food court, and live music by the Sweet Justice Reggae Band. Tickets are $45 in advance or $55 at the door. Kevin from the KVJ show on 97.9 WRMF will make an appearance. The event will be hled indoors on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3) Michael Rapaport - West Palm Beach

Comedian Michael Rapaport will be playing two shows at the Palm Beach Improv. Friday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. There is a two-drink minimum and tickets start at $25 plus taxes and fees.

4) Screen on the Green - West Palm Beach

"Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls." It will play on The Great Lawn, Friday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. The movie is free to watch. You can bring blankets and lawn-chairs.

5) Monster Jam - Sunrise

Experience trucks like Grave Digger, Max-DTM, El Toro Loco and Many more. There are three shows at the BB&T Center, Saturday Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. Tickets start at $20 plus taxes and fee.
