As we move into the 'dog days of summer' the big events take a vacation. But that doesn't mean there isn't something fun to do around your hometown.

1) Ryan Montgomery - West Palm Beach
We first met Ryan Montgomery and asked him to play on the WPTV Helipad right before he fullfilled his childhood dream of performing on the CityPlace... er..... Rosemary Square Stage. Now he's going on his "Buy You A Drink" tour and will be playing Renegades in West Palm Beach Saturday, June 29 at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $10 at the door (there is a discount for buying in advance).

2) A Musical Tribute to Burt Reynolds - Jupiter
The Reynolds Ranch will feature Burt's famous Trans-Am from "Smokey and the Bandit" and they will dedicate a historical marker to honor the namesake's final ride into the sunset. Ledgends Radio hosts Jill and Rich and special guest will perform a musical tribute on Sunday, June 30 from 1:30 p.m. to - 4 p.m. at Reynolds Ranch.

3) Boo Bubbles - West Palm Beach
The South Florida Science Center will have a pop-up activation at The Palm Beach Outlets on Friday, June 28 from 2 - 4 p.m. You can watch bubbles smoke when popped in an interactive table activity with dry ice. There will also be virtual reality activities where kids can travel into the depths of the ocean or into space.

4) Patio Pig Roast - Palm Beach Gardens
On the last Friday of each month, The Cooper will have whole-roasted pig dinners available for $25 plus you can pair them with whiskey cocktails.

5) Jimmy Buffett tribute band - Palm Beach Gardens
Downtown at the Gardens' free summer concert series is back. This week it is Caribbean Chillers on Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m.
