1) Hall of Heroes - West Palm Beach
Zap! Pow! Boom! Superheroes have invaded the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man and more. Both D.C. Comics and Marvel are represented as you learn about the science behind superpowers, the history of superheroes, and vintage props and figurines. It runs now through April. And don't forget to check out the replica of the Batmobile at the Palm Beach International Airport near baggage claim.

2) Malted Barley Grand Opening - Juno Beach
Across the street from the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is what is sure to be a community gathering place called The Malted Barley. They are having their Grand Opening this weekend and their menu features over 37 craft beers, and a soft pretzel-inspired menu with 14 dipping sauces (there are even gluten-free options). You got to try the jalapeno-cheddar stuffed pretzel paired with apricot butter (it was insanely good).
3) Countdown to Zero - West Palm Beach
The sixth annual "Countdown 2 Zero" pet adoption event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the air-conditioned South Florida Fairgrounds. This free event will feature over 1,300 adoptable animals seeking new "FURever" homes. Admission and parking are free.
4) Odyssey Road Tribute to Journey - Wellington
This Journey tribute band will take over the Wellington Amphitheater to celebrate 10 years of playing together. The show is free and starts at 7:30 p.m on Saturday, Sept. 28. The band encourages you to bring your own seating.
5) Palm Beach Zoo - West Palm Beach
It's the last weekend to take advantage of free admission for up to six kids with one adult admission at the Palm Beach Zoo.
