It was 1994 when Kelley Dunn first met her new noon show co-anchor John Favole. Back then he sported a "Magnum P.I." looking mustache. Dunn says for the next decade, "I was honored to sit beside a talented newsman who has an incredible sense of humor; he kept us all laughing."

"John still can take an interview and make it informative and entertaining at the same time," says Dunn.

Favole's longest run was on the morning show with Roxanne Stein and Dean Tendrich. They called themselves the "Three Amigos" and were the most watch morning news in the market.

"Management came in and said you belong together and we did," reflects Stein.

Gina DeLuca, a producer for WPTV, says, "He is so laid back, he's smart, he knows what he's doing and you really don't have to worry about anything to be honest, I can do my job without worrying if he's going to do his right, because he does."

When Stein and Favole moved from the WPTV news set to the WFLX Morning show Dunn says, "John brought his trademark style and news experience."

Stein says, "I want to laugh but I get teary eyed because in the very worst days of your life, you go to work and you know someone is going to meet you at the door, put his arm around you and we're going to walk through it together and get through it. "

After Stein's retirement last year Favole was paired with anchor Hollani Davis. "John is definitely that steady hand, and even at this point in my career there's so much that I continue to learn from him each and every day," says Davis

"Thank you for 25 of the best years of my life, I love you dearly but you know that," says Stein.
