JUPITER, Fla. — As we start the new year there is comedy, an art show, and kids movies to entertain you this weekend.

1) Comedian Ricky Smiley - West Palm Beach
Comedy legend and entertainment mogul Rickey Smiley is a television host, actor, and top-rated nationally syndicated radio personality. He will be performing at the Palm Beach Improv Friday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m., and 10 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., and on Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $40 plus taxes and fee and there is a two-drink minimum.

2) Screen on the Green - Onward - West Palm Beach
The city of West Palm Beach is bringing back Screen on the Green. Now, because of COVID-19, it's moved to the Meyer Amphitheater. You need to reserve a pod and they cost $20. The pods include unlimited popcorn, four non-alcoholic beverages, and four candy items. The movie is on Friday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.

3) Onward - Ft. Pierce
Onward is also playing at Family Night at the Treasure Coast Park and Watch drive-in. Saturday, Jan. 9 at 7:30 p.m. tickets are $5 plus taxes and fees.

4) Free Movie Night - Wellington

Friday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. is free movie night at the Wellington Amphitheater which is showing Arctic Dogs. There is no cost for admission but guests are required to reserve a space.

5) 2021 Jensen Beach Fine Art & Craft Show
Over 100 fine artists and artisans, food by local restaurants, and live music. Jan. 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Historic downtown Jensen Beach.
