How to slay parking at The Honda Classic

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Deciding what parking option is right for you at The Honda Classic depends on if you are looking for speed, savings, first-class or somewhere in between.

We checked out each option starting with the in-between choice at BallenIsles. This option costs $25 daily.

Our one-mile trip we took from the lot to the front gates took a little longer than normal (just over 13 minutes). We experienced picking up extra passengers along the way, an illegal lane change, people in the cross-walk seemingly not in a hurry to get out of our way, our driver going the wrong way, and then having to get out and move cones so we could make a turn in order to get to our destination on time

Valet parking is the most efficient way to get to the Honda Classic. This choice costs $150 daily and once you are out of your car you can get to the gate in just under three minutes.

If you choose to rideshare to the tournament you're dropped off just about a three-minute walk from the gate. The only thing to be aware of is during high demand times like right after tournament play, which could bring higher prices and longer wait times.

Just about seven miles away at Dyer Park is general parking which costs $10 daily. Our journey took just over 21 minutes. They wait to fill the buses before they leave so we waited around 14 minutes before we left the lot. Total trip time to the front gates took around 35 minutes.

But there are ways to save money... If you buy the BallenIsles parking in advance at TheHondaClassic.com you can save $5 and just remember general parking is free to owners of Hondas and Acuras.
