8 Fancy restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner

If you're feeling a little boujee, or as we say in Texas highfalutin, and want to take your Thanksgiving dinner experience to the next level, there are several restaurants open and serving fancy feasts.

1000 NORTH

Begin the feast with spoonfuls of flavor in the roasted butternut squash bisque ($20). Chestnut-honey crème fraîche with a bourbon-maple brioche crouton and micro celery, make this a cozy holiday soup.

34-ounce, dry-aged porterhouse ($130) or the herb-crusted Chilean sea bass ($52). If you are all about tradition, choose the 1000 NORTH Thanksgiving Day Turkey Dinner ($58). The carved roasted turkey with chestnut and sage stuffing, accompanied by Brussels sprouts and apple Lyonnaise, cranberry relish, and pomme purée, make a meal to remember.

End the evening on a sweet note with pumpkin spice cake ($18). This seasonal favorite is paired with a white chocolate cinnamon mousse, graham cracker tuile, and pecan caramel.

Executive Chef James King will prepare a Thanksgiving Buffet. Selections will include a chilled seafood bar with snow crab claws, assorted sushi and oysters on the half shell; soups and salads; and hot plates, including lobster & truffle mac & cheese; maple brined pork belly with roasted poblano and sweet corn pudding; all natural slow roasted Tom turkey with traditional trimmings, house-made turkey sausage and cornbread stuffing; sea salt & herb crusted prime strip loin with horseradish cream au jus; and salted cod & crab cakes with chipotle aioli, roasted butternut squash, black bean and sweet corn relish. 
 
The Thanksgiving Buffet is $85 for adults and $29 for children under 12. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 561-340-1795.

50 Ocean

Executive Chef Thomas Op’t Holt has created an abundance of options to please every palate. The Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque ($8), loaded with roasted pumpkin, crème fraîche, and toasted pepitas is a perfect start to a holiday meal. Then, give in to temptation with the Turkey Leg Mole ($23), sided with winter rice medley, Swank Farm radish, and lime, or the Chestnut Fazzoletti ($21), a housemade pasta with wild and tamed mushrooms, and Armagnac cream.

50 Ocean’s holiday sides are built for two. The Swank Farm Poll Bean Casserole ($12) is topped with mushroom cream sauce and crispy shallots. The Whole Roasted Cauliflower ($8) comes on a bed of melted leeks, with brown butter, capers, and walnuts. Dessert is designed for a day like Thanksgiving. Indulge with the Pumpkin Chiffon Pie ($8), laden with maple syrup froth and spiced pecans, or the Banana Cream Pie ($8).

Or, you can choose to ladle on all the traditional flavors with 50 Ocean’s prix fixe menu. For $42 you’ll get four courses, including Joyce Farms Roasted Turkey with giblet-sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce giving you all the “feels” of this holiday, with none of the cleanup.
