The Susan G. Komen South Florida 'Race for the Cure' is coming up on Jan. 25, 2020.

T.A. Walker and Toni May, the hosts of WPTV's digital series 'Slay Your Day,' are trying to raise $10,000 for Susan G. Komen Florida.

This year, Walker serves as Race Chair, and is trying to promote fundraising to help local women battling the disease, fund research, and advocacy work in Tallahassee.

"A great suggestion for a New Year’s resolution is to make a promise to save lives from breast cancer," says Walker, "It’s the one resolution that’s easy to keep but will be paid forward in so many ways to help patients with breast cancer right here in our own community."

"It's hard to imagine any of us that aren't touched by breast cancer, the donations made will be put right to work , right here where we work, play and live," says May, "I have walked for years and volunteered, now I am hoping to be part of a bigger impact so please help make that mark."

Walker and May are having a dueling fundraising challenge.

"But really, my life's goal is to "Slay" T.A.," says May. "She won't win, she will get distracted by shiny keys and she'll forget to post about it on social media," laughs Walker.
