I-95 mom Marianna Frances of Port St. Lucie wanted her son's first haircut to be special so she booked an appointment at the Harmony Barber Shop just off Main Street in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
The barber shop is touted as a charmingly old-fashioned place for guests of all ages to get a haircut.
The 'My First Haircut Package' is $25, and sure you have to have tickets into the park, but if you are going anyway it's a really cool experience. The package includes commemorative Mickey Ears, a certificate, and entertainment (think bubbles).
Marianna says this is not a spur of the moment thing; you need to make a reservation by calling (407) 939-7529. FYI... they will charge a $10 cancellation fee or no-show fee if you cancel with less than a day's notice.
The stylists are state-licensed cosmetologists and offer children cuts for $18 and adult cuts for $19.
