PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The beaches are closed for Fourth of July weekend, so you may be scratching your head on where to take your out of town guests. Here is a list of 5 but socially distant things to do this weekend.
1) Fair Eats Drive-Thru - West Palm Beach
The last time things seemed normal was when the fair was in town. We'll they are bringing back all that yummy fried food back to the fairgrounds. You can get a range of foods like deep-fried Oreos, corn dogs, funnel cakes, turkey legs, and more. Drive-in, order your Fair Eats, and drive out, all from the safety and comfort of your own vehicle. The event runs Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5th from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily.
2) Shark Park 561 - West Palm Beach
The cable park is one of the ways to get out on the water for all skill levels. There are zip lines that take wakeboards, kneeboards, water skies, and more around a lake at Okeeheelee Park. Basically, anything you could do behind a boat you can do here. Tickets start at $35. Heads up to parents, they do have a weekly camp.
Things To Know
- They are practicing social distancing so you'll need to wear a mask until you are in the water.
- They are not accepting cash because of COVID-19.
- Online you can buy your ticket(s) and sign your waiver(s).
3) Escape Rooms
You've been socially isolating with your family, why not get out of the house and try a puzzle. Escape rooms typically give you one hour to find and use clues to get out of the room. I talked to the owner of West Palm Beach Escape Rooms, Randi D'Alena, and she says they are fogging the rooms after each use and wiping down high-touch points.
