and last updated

All you have to do is love to eat to make money. Thanks to Yelp's cash back program, eating at participating Yelp establishments can earn you a bit of cash. Sound like a good deal? It is. What's even better—it's super easy to take advantage of this offer. Yelp's Cash Back Program is nothing new. It launched back in December 2016, but there's a good chance you haven't heard of it before. And if you're just now learning about the money-making option Yelp's offering—you're going to want to take note of exactly how to get some extra cash into your bank account.

How It Works

You don't have to be an avid Yelp reviewer to earn cash back. All you have to do is register your debit card or credit card through Yelp and then eat at participating establishments. According to The Penny Hoarder, swiping the card you linked to Yelp will allow you to receive cash back around the 18th of every month, so keep an eye on your bank statement to watch the savings roll in. There's no minimum purchase required at the place you're dining, and you can get up to 10 percent cash back through this program. This isn't valid for take-out or delivery orders, so make sure you're dining out to rake in the extra bucks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4L8L1NFfNw

Participating Restaurants

A quick glance at a restaurant's Yelp page will help you know if the establishment is participating in the program. If the restaurant offers cash back for purchases, it will appear on their Yelp page in a gray box. It will also tell you exactly how much cash back you could earn. For example, certain restaurants' pages read, "Get 10% Cash Back when you dine here." So, at least you'll know exactly what you're getting yourself into. If you live in a big enough city, you can even use the filters on Yelp to show you only the restaurants that participate in the Cash Back program before deciding where you're going to eat. Here's an example of what a filtered search looked like for me: According to a Yelp blog post, it takes less than a minute to sign up, so if you haven't already—take some time out of your day to help reward your eating habits and fund your spending through Yelp Cash Back!
