(NBC NewsChannel) Ikea is recalling more than 1.2 million ceiling lamps in the U.S. and Canada.
The company says the plastic retaining clips that secure the glass shades can break and allow the glass shades to fall, posing a laceration hazard.
Ikea has received 224 reports worldwide of incidents, including 11 injuries.
The recall involves Ikea "Hyby" and "Lock" ceiling lamps.
Consumers should uninstall the ceiling lamps and return them to any Ikea store for a full refund.
