It's also a great month for purchasing indoor furniture, as well as other stuff for backyards, according to John Matarese, who reports for a series called "Don't Waste Your Money."
Matarese spoke to a blogger who watches for sales at certain times of the year. She noted that Memorial Day sales usually provide hundreds of dollars in savings for spring markdowns, including patio sets and grills.
