Publix continues its string of store openings today with a Grand Opening at the Fifth Avenue Shops on Federal Highway in Boca Raton.
The new 50,000-square-foot store replaces a smaller one that opened in the plaza in 1961. It will have all of the traditional departments, plus the addition of specialty areas like specialty cheeses, wines and Chef Selections.
The first 1,500 customers on grand opening day will receive a complimentary customized Publix insulated reusable bag. $100 gift card raffle will take place in store every day for the first week.
Then, on Saturday, Dec. 12, the brand new Publix at the Belmart Plaza on Belvedere Road opens in West Palm Beach.
The store was built on land previously occupied by a shuttered Winn-Dixie and will serve the nearby El Cid and Flamingo Park neighborhoods.
The same Grand Opening giveaways will take place when that Publix opens.
Publix reopened its remodeled store in the Village Commons shopping center on Nov. 5.
