Two types of hummus recalled at Trader Joe's

Trader Joe’s issued a recall Thursday for two types of their hummus that have been shipped to Florida and other states.

Trader Joe's Mediterranean Hummus and Trader Joe's White Bean & Basil Hummus have been recalled for potential to be contaminated with Listeria.

The company said all potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

Consumers who purchased any of the Mediterranean Hummus or White Bean & Basil Hummus with the specified plant identification and date codes, should not eat the product. 

To date there have been no confirmed illnesses.

You are urged you to discard the recalled hummus or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
