The Florida Forest Service is warning residents living in St. Lucie County of a moderate fire danger risk.

Florida Highway Patrol had to shut down portions of Interstate 95 on Monday morning in Sebastian due to low visibility and smoke in the area.

However, as of early Tuesday morning all lanes are reopen as crews monitor conditions.

According to the Florida Forest Service Fire Danger Index, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties are all at a moderate risk, while Broward County is at a high fire danger risk.

The Florida Forest Service wants to remind residents who you live in an area with an elevated risk that it's a good idea to make sure you have a safety zone between your house and vegetation in your yard.

A minimum of 30 feet will provide a buffer to protect your home should a wildfire spread near your home.
